Animatic storyboard (Joe Fisher)

The animatic storyboard gave us insight as to what how our final product may be structured. These were only basic ideas, but got the point across. We established here that we would need a lot of imagery of fire if our video was to be successful in portraying the message we needed it to. It also helped us figure out what characters we may need when shooting the video, so taking this in to account early meant that we could cast and prepare as to how these people would be presented on camera. Due to the repetition of a lot of the scenes in the storyboard, this made us plan in many ways how we would fill these gaps, and what sort of scenes we’d need to shoot when we were out filming. This actually helped us as it allowed for flexibility with our ideas and allowed all of the group members to have input as to what should be in the music video, instead of sticking to a layout that has been pre-determined.
